readers are compatible with CASPR's LibraryWorld, or LibraryWorks
software. In fact, we have been selling barcode readers to CASPR customers for
over a decade, and we have thousands of readers installed at schools across the
country - in virtually every state. There are several things which make our
barcode readers popular with school librarians. First, of all - they work! We
can't tell you how many times school librarians have come to us asking for help
because the barcode reader they bought from another vendor won't work. Lots of
times it is problems with this or that Macintosh, or with their brand new iMac.
We sell barcode readers that are compatible with ALL Macs, including iMacs - not
just PC's. If you get a reader from us that won't work with your computer (you
won't, but if you did), just ship it back and we will get you one that does. We
promise!
Another reason we are so popular is that we
answer the phone and we support our products ourselves. 95% of our calls during
business hours are answered before the third ring! And they are answered by real
live people that can help - not robotic voice mail! (We do have voice mail, and
we do use it for after hours calls). We don't charge for our support (though we
should because it is so good ;) and we provide support on our toll free number
to customers in the U.S. and Canada.
Librarians also like us because we are so gosh
darn cheap. We sell the same barcode readers that others do, but for hundreds
less. This is real important, especially since libraries never have enough money
